TORRAIOLO
Excellent base for visiting Florence (25km),
Siena (30 km),
San Gimignano (20 km), Volterra, and many
other small medeival cities and artistic centers.
From Barberino you can drive through
Chianti (following the indications of the "strada dei vini")
and see vineyards, farms, and castles of rare beauty.
How to get here:
"Autostrada del Sole" A1 Milano-Roma.
Take the exit for "Firenze Certosa" and continue on your right
onto the "Superstrada Firenze-Siena."
After 16 km get off
at "Tavernelle,"
turn left and follow the indications for
"Barberino Val d'Elsa."
After passing through the historic city center, take the first
street on your left and after one km you will arrive at Torraiolo.
